Biography

Wendee always wanted to use her music to bring joy and healing to those listening to her. She created shows, called “Laugh, Learn and Love the Music” to bring joy and healing to her audiences. She appeals to a wide variety of audiences, performing standards from the Great American Songbook, as well as Broadway, and Pop music from the 60s to the 80s.

An experienced jazz/cabaret/retro pop vocalist, Wendee Glick is a singer with a strong stage presence, sense of humor, and ability to belt out a tune. She can engage the audience in the up-tempo, or make them weep over a ballad sung with a "bell-like" quality.

Wendee’s interest in music began at a young age. Classically trained, she started performing musical theater and opera but soon came to love cabaret and jazz, influenced by legends such as Ella Fitzgerald, Barbara Streisand, Bette Midler, Mel Torme’ and Linda Ronstadt.

Wendee has developed a substantial following in the New England area, and she works with the best musicians. “They have to be great musicians, but just as important… great souls.”

In addition to her public performances around New England, she supplies entertainment at many private parties and events, and also ventures out to multiple senior facilities to uplift the residents. You can even find her singing customized musical messages in the form of her “Melody-grams” singing telegrams to surprised recipients all over Massachusetts and Southern NH.

Those who know her see the joy she feels when she sings. She is often told that she seems the happiest when she is singing. Scott Yanow, author of ten books on jazz, included Wendee in his book titled “The Jazz Singers - The Ultimate Guide”, and he stated “she has a beautiful voice, swings at all tempos, improvises with subtlety and taste, and knows how to uplift superior material.”
